  • Supporting speakers will cover a wide variety of topics. See brochure link.
  • Once again we are  offering two Workshops on Friday morning, for a separate fee.
  • One of the workshops is designed to assist you in completing a lineage application for our Missouri First Families program. The workshop fee will include the fee for one Missouri First Families application.  See the information below:
If you have ancestors that lived in Missouri before the American Civil War or served in a Missouri military unit during the Civil War you are probably eligible for a Missouri First Families Certificate.  If you have been afraid to send in your application you won’t want to miss this workshop to guide you through the process.
The categories of Missouri First Families Certificates are shown below:
·  Territorial Certificates – Ancestors proven to have resided in Missouri on or before statehood, 10 August 1821.
·  Pioneer Certificates – Ancestors proven to have resided in Missouri at any time between and including 11 August 1821 and 31 December 1860.
·  Civil War Service Certificates – Ancestors proven to have served in a Missouri military unit during the Civil War; those ancestors in other military units who saw service in Missouri during the Civil War; and those ancestors who were Civil War veterans and died and/or were buried in Missouri.
·
This workshop will provide you with a Case Study for each certificate category to demonstrate the documentation needed.  There will be time to get started filling out your application so you have a good start before you go home.

·         Please identify one ancestral line and bring your documentation to the workshop.  We will start filling out the application at the workshop.
