Bob Doerr Receives President's Award
Robert M. Doerr, MoSGA Journal Editor since 1992, received the prestigious President's Award on August 4, 2007 during the MoSGA Annual Conference. President Martha Henderson surprised Bob with the award in recognition of his outstanding service to Missouri genealogy. "Without Bob's dedication and hard work, our journal would not be the outstanding genealogical publication that it is." noted President Henderson.
Bob's contributions also include a surname index to the MoSGA journal and a table of contents. These two databases cover the years 1981-2006 and are available on the MoSGA Web site. Bob is currently transcribing the 1860 St. Louis City Directory. He is active in several Phelps County organizations and has compiled three books on Phelps County genealogical records.
